Minister reviews National Highway works in Jharkhand and Uttarakhand.

Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Shri Nitin Gadkari chaired separate review meetings in New Delhi to assess the progress, quality and maintenance of National Highway projects in Jharkhand and Uttarakhand. The review covered National Highway stretches of 3,245 km in Jharkhand and 4,026 km in Uttarakhand. The meetings were attended by Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways Shri Ajay Tamta, senior officials of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, the National Highways Authority of India, the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited and project contractors.
During the meetings, Shri Gadkari directed officials and contractors to ensure timely execution of projects, maintain quality standards and adopt modern construction technologies. He also stressed the importance of monsoon preparedness through effective drainage management, slope protection measures, preventive maintenance and prompt response to minimise disruptions on the National Highway network.
