Authority outlines recruitment and internship opportunities.
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has highlighted career opportunities for engineering graduates in the road infrastructure sector. According to the authority, around 100 engineering professionals are recruited annually through the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) for the post of Deputy Manager (Technical), supporting the development and maintenance of the National Highway network.
NHAI also highlighted its Internship Programme, launched in December 2025, to provide practical exposure to civil engineering students. The programme includes a one-month Winter Internship and a six-month Term Internship with a monthly stipend of ₹20,000. According to the authority, the initiative is intended to strengthen industry-academia collaboration and build technical capacity for India’s expanding National Highway sector.
