In addition to purchasing PKZ Group, its longtime air- and sea-freight partner in Slovakia and the Czech Republic, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics also creates its own national firm in Slovakia. Hellmann fills the gap in its current road network in the partial and full load categories with the purchase of the PKZ Group’s ten locations, allowing this existing product area to grow sustainably. At the same time, Hellmann assumes responsibility for the PKZ Group’s former services in the fields of rail transport, air and sea freight, and contract logistics, setting up the framework for steadily growing its cross-product market share via its own national company.
The PKZ Group’s current business operations and staff will be transferred to the recently founded Hellmann Worldwide Logistics Slovakia starting in June 2023. Martin Kiaba, the present Managing Director of PKZ Group, will lead the new national firm, ensuring a seamless continuation of operational activities across all segments.
