Along Pune ring road, MSRDC plans to construct five logistics centres

Along the 172 km Pune ring road, which connects eight national highways and expressways, the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) wants to build at least five logistics hubs.

The agriculture and manufacturing industries are expected to greatly benefit from these logistical hubs, which will be located along the state’s expressways. In the hub-and-spoke framework, most motorways across the country have multi-modal logistics parks.

MSRDC has currently identified 18 locations on Samruddhi Mahamarg as logistical hubs, townships, and Krishi Samruddhi Kendras. Similarly, the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority has announced the approval of nine townships along the multi-modal corridor. The same concept will be used for the Pune ring road.
