Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) to establish a strategic partnership aimed at bolstering India’s maritime and energy sectors. This collaboration aligns with the Government of India’s Maritime Amrit Kaal Vision 2047, which focuses on strengthening the country’s global maritime presence.
BPCL Chairman & Managing Director G. Krishnakumar emphasised that this partnership will help build a world-class shipping ecosystem to support India’s growing energy demands. The initiative aims to enhance operational efficiency, expand capabilities, and drive innovation in maritime logistics.
Under this agreement, BPCL and SCI will develop a dedicated and efficient shipping network for transporting crude oil, gas, and petroleum products. The partnership is expected to play a crucial role in reinforcing India’s supply chain, promoting self-reliance, and securing the nation’s position as a global maritime leader.
