Indian naval vessel arrives at Changi Naval Base for its fourth port call under the IOS SAGAR deployment.

Indian Ocean Ship (IOS) SAGAR, INS Sunayna, arrived at Changi Naval Base, Singapore, on April 26, 2026, marking her fourth port call during the ongoing IOS SAGAR deployment. The mission operates under the MAHASAGAR vision, which stands for Mutual and Holistic Advancement for Security and Growth Across Regions. The ship carries a multinational crew from 16 friendly foreign countries and has previously called at Male, Phuket and Jakarta during the deployment.
In Singapore, India’s High Commissioner Dr Shilpak Ambule met with the crew onboard, while Commanding Officer Cdr Siddharth Chaudhary laid a wreath at the Kranji War Memorial and met Col Chuah Meng Soon, Commander of the 9th Flotilla, Republic of Singapore Navy, to discuss maritime cooperation. The ship was opened to visitors including schoolchildren and social media influencers, and on April 27, 2026, the crew and members of the Indian diaspora took part in a themed run titled “One Ocean, One Mission”. Planned activities ahead of the ship’s scheduled departure on April 29, 2026, include visits to the Republic of Singapore Navy’s Navigation and Damage Control simulators, the Information Fusion Centre and the Navy Museum, alongside a joint yoga session and a formal deck reception.
