Both countries review trade and economic cooperation.

India and Tajikistan held the 12th Meeting of the Joint Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation through video conference. Commerce Secretary Shri Rajesh Agrawal delivered the opening remarks and highlighted the need to strengthen trade, investment, market access, regulatory cooperation and business engagement between the two countries. The meeting was co-chaired by Shri Mohit Yadav, Joint Secretary, Department of Commerce, Government of India, and H.E. Mr Nuriddinzoda Ahliddin Nuriddin, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The two sides reviewed progress since the 11th Session of the Joint Commission and discussed cooperation in pharmaceuticals, healthcare, agriculture, food products, services, energy, mining, transport, logistics, banking and finance, digital economy and innovation. The Indian side noted that exports to Tajikistan were estimated at USD 58.12 million in 2025-26, an increase of 27.23 per cent over the previous year. The meeting concluded with the signing of the Protocol of the 12th Session, with both sides reaffirming their commitment to strengthening industrial, trade and economic cooperation.
