PACTL successfully upgrades to Hermes 5 across four terminals, boosting cargo handling efficiency with minimal downtime.
Shanghai Pudong International Airport Cargo Terminal Co. (PACTL), one of the largest air cargo terminal operators, has successfully implemented Hermes 5 across four cargo terminals—three at PVG and one at SHA. Hermes Logistics Technologies (HLT) completed the large-scale upgrade swiftly, minimising operational downtime for PACTL, which handles up to two million tonnes of cargo annually.
The upgrade involved integration with various technology partners, thanks to Hermes 5’s standard and custom APIs, which enhance operational efficiency by enabling seamless data sharing. PACTL’s Deputy General Manager, Carsten Hernig, highlighted that the upgrade has improved operational convenience and enabled the company to offer customised services.
PACTL is the latest in a series of cargo handlers to adopt Hermes 5 in 2024, ensuring the company remains at the forefront of technological advancements in air cargo logistics.
