Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Shri Jitan Ram Manjhi met South Africa’s Minister of Small Business Development Ms Stella Tembisa Ndabeni in New Delhi on June 1, 2026. The meeting focused on exploring opportunities to strengthen cooperation and collaboration in the MSME sector, recognising its role in economic growth, employment generation and inclusive development.
Both sides discussed potential areas of cooperation including improving access to finance, promoting enterprise formalisation, accelerating digitalisation and strengthening entrepreneurship and skilling in MSME development. The discussions reflected the shared commitment of India and South Africa to deepen bilateral engagement and foster a supportive ecosystem for the growth and competitiveness of MSMEs in both countries.
