New models support ethanol blends from E20 to E85.
Hero MotoCorp has unveiled its first flex-fuel motorcycles, the Splendor+ Flex Fuel and HF Deluxe Flex Fuel, in New Delhi. The launch marks a significant step in advancing alternative fuel mobility in India and supports the government’s efforts to promote ethanol-based transportation solutions. Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Shri Hardeep Singh Puri and Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Shri Nitin Gadkari attended the event.
The motorcycles are designed to operate on ethanol blends ranging from E20 to E85. Speaking at the launch, Shri Puri highlighted the role of flex-fuel vehicles in reducing dependence on imported crude oil and supporting the country’s energy transition goals. He also noted the contribution of the ethanol blending programme in generating additional income opportunities for farmers while strengthening India’s drive towards energy security and sustainable mobility.
