Jackson Square Aviation (JSA) has placed an order with Aeronautical Engineers, Inc. for six B737-800 conversions (AEI). The first two aircraft in the order will be modified in May 2024, with the sixth scheduled to be delivered in January 2026. Commercial Jet, based in Miami, will carry out the conversions, which are the first JSA has placed with AEI.
“We are delighted to partner with AEI for the first of our passenger to freight aircraft conversions,” said JSA CEO Kevin McDonald. This is a natural evolution of our fleet, allowing us to offer more to existing and new customers.” The 737800 freighter improves efficiencies and extends aircraft life, which supports JSA’s ESG initiatives.”
The AEI converted B737-800SF freighter has a maindeck payload of more than 23 tonnes and 11 full-height 88″ x 125″ container positions, plus an AEP/AEH position.
AEI recently signed a freighter conversion contract with China Aircraft Leasing Group Holdings Limited.
