The Indian Navy collaborates with Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya to boost logistics expertise, aligning with Atmanirbhar Bharat and operational efficiency.
Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya, Vadodara, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Navy today in New Delhi. This strategic partnership aims to enhance logistics-related education, research, and training, marking a significant milestone in strengthening the Navy’s operational capabilities.
The MoU, signed by Vice Admiral Deepak Kapoor (Controller of Logistics, Indian Navy) and Prof. Manoj Choudhary (Vice-Chancellor, GSV), will facilitate advanced learning in supply chain management, multimodal transportation, and sustainable logistics. It also integrates modern technologies such as AI, predictive analytics, and blockchain for cutting-edge logistics solutions.
The collaboration aligns with key national initiatives, including the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan 2021 and the National Logistics Policy 2022. Under this agreement, Indian Navy officers will have opportunities to pursue academic degrees and attend management development programs at GSV.
As the education hub for transportation and logistics, Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya now supports the Indian Army, Air Force, and Navy, furthering its role in national defence and logistics innovation. Rear Admiral Rajat Kapoor and senior officials from the Ministry of Railways and the Indian Navy attended the signing, underscoring the initiative’s importance for India’s defence and economic goals.
