In his address, Modi emphasised that India’s naval capabilities are crucial for safeguarding vital sea lanes, ensuring freedom of navigation, and contributing to global security. He remarked that India is becoming a key player in the Indo-Pacific, focusing on security and prosperity for all.
Modi also acknowledged the success of the Make in India initiative, citing the Navy’s achievements in building cutting-edge platforms. He further stated that India’s strategic maritime leadership positions it as a responsible global partner, enhancing its influence across the Indian Ocean Region.
