DHL Global Forwarding Vietnam, in partnership with Datalogic, initiates a groundbreaking effort to curb carbon emissions in logistics. The GoGreen Plus Solution targets Full-Container Load (FCL) and Less-Than-Container Load (LCL) shipments.
For LCL, the strategy combines insetting, substituting Heavy Fuel Oils with eco-friendly alternatives, and offsetting through VER Gold Standard carbon credits. Focusing on FCL, the emphasis is on offsetting main haul transportation. DHL Global Forwarding Vietnam, a strategic partner for Datalogic, aims to reduce 40,000 kilograms of CO₂ Well-to-Wheel emissions, showcasing a commitment to environmental responsibility.
Laurence Cheung, Managing Director of DHL Global Forwarding Vietnam, emphasises the collaboration’s role in forging a greener future for the industry. Datalogic’s Global Logistics Manager, Le Xuan Vinh, stresses the alignment of the GoGreen Plus initiative with their commitment to sustainable and responsible business practices.
As part of the DHL Group’s 2030 sustainability roadmap, GoGreen Plus contributes to the goal of sourcing a minimum of 30 percent of fuel requirements from sustainable sources. The DHL Group’s larger mission involves investing EUR 7 billion in sustainable fuel and clean technologies by 2030, underscoring their dedication to combating climate change.
