The Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) becomes the first Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) to reach the major milestone of Rs 10,000 (Ten Thousand) Crore in procurement value through the Government-e-Marketplace (GeM) since its inception. SAIL has been at the forefront of collaborating with Government-e-Marketplace, actively participating in the development of various functionalities to expand the reach of the Government-e-Marketplace (GeM) portal.
SAIL has already surpassed the total value of Rs. 10,000 crore this year, having started with a small investment of Rs. 2.7 crore in FY’18-19. In the previous fiscal year, Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) was the largest Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) procurer on GeM, with a total value of Rs. 4,614 crore. Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has already surpassed the previous fiscal year’s achievement with procurement of over Rs. 5,250 Crore to date and is fully dedicated to greatly increasing volumes on Government-e-Marketplace (GeM).
