Delhi-Jaipur connectivity gets a logistics upgrade with a new express spur slashing travel time and boosting freight mobility.

Freight movement between Delhi and Jaipur is set for a major boost with the completion of the 66.9-km, four-lane Greenfield Bandikui Spur. Part of the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway, the Rs 2,016 crore project promises to transform logistics efficiency across the region.
Announced by Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, the Bandikui Spur offers direct, access-controlled connectivity from the Delhi-Vadodara Expressway to Jaipur, eliminating the need for longer detours via NH-48 and NH-21. The result: reduced congestion, faster cargo delivery, and lower fuel consumption, factors critical to logistics players.
The new infrastructure cuts the Delhi-Jaipur travel time from 3 hours 45 minutes to just 3 hours, enhancing turn-around time for freight operators and easing intercity supply chain bottlenecks.
Industry experts see the spur as a strategic win for regional trade, enabling smoother inland connectivity and supporting India’s ambition for robust multimodal logistics infrastructure under Gati Shakti.
As India’s logistics demand surges, such highway upgrades are pivotal for seamless, sustainable cargo movement.
