₹1,155.86 crore sanctioned for road upgrades to boost economic growth and mobility.
In a significant push for road infrastructure, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, has announced two major projects aimed at enhancing connectivity and fostering economic growth.
The first project, located in Andhra Pradesh, involves the development of a 6-lane elevated corridor at Ranasthalam, Srikakulam, with a budget of ₹252.42 crore. This initiative is expected to alleviate traffic congestion, improve road safety, and enhance urban mobility, ultimately creating new socio-economic opportunities for the region’s residents.
In addition, Gadkari approved ₹903.44 crore for the upgradation of the Gyaraspur to Rahatgarh section of National Highway-146 in Madhya Pradesh. This project is part of the Bhopal-Kanpur corridor, aimed at strengthening regional trade, enhancing connectivity, and boosting local economic activities.
These announcements reflect the government’s dedication to advancing road infrastructure, improving connectivity, and promoting economic development across these key regions.
