Noida International Airport (NIAL) in Jewar, under construction, is poised to become Asia’s largest airport. Aligned with the Prime Minister’s vision for enhanced connectivity, Uttar Pradesh is gaining prominence with the establishment of multiple international airports. NIAL will feature a comprehensive Ground Transportation Centre with easy access via road, rail, and metro networks.
The Yogi government in Uttar Pradesh is launching an ambitious project adjacent to NIAL, aiming to establish the state as a thriving aviation hub. This project will create assembly and manufacturing units for aircraft components and complete airplanes, attracting foreign companies. The Aviation Manufacturing Scheme and FDI Policy offer incentives to foreign investors. The layout for the aviation manufacturing industry’s development at Jewar International Airport is being designed by PwC, aiming to create job opportunities and establish an aviation manufacturing and MRO hub, reducing India’s reliance on foreign countries for aircraft repairs.
