MSC Air Cargo ends ECS Group collaboration, enhancing global commercial capabilities from February 15th, 2024.
MSC Air Cargo has officially severed ties with the ECS Group, its General Sales and Service Agreement (GSSA) partner in North America, Europe, and Mexico since May last year. Senior Vice President of Air Cargo, Jannie Davel, conveyed the decision in a LinkedIn post on February 20, expressing appreciation for ECS Group’s dedication and contributions during their collaboration.
Davel highlighted the strategic move as part of MSC Air Cargo’s commitment to fortifying its commercial capabilities and positioning within the competitive air cargo market. Emphasising the significance of the decision, he stated, “Change brings opportunities, and we’re confident this transition will lead us toward greater success.”
The airline, launched in late 2022, recently received the final Boeing 777 freighter in a series of four, operated under a long-term ACMI agreement with Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings. MSC’s ongoing expansion includes new services connecting Milan Malpensa and Tokyo Narita, reinforcing its presence across Europe, Asia, and Latin America.
