MoCA Inaugurates Direct Flights Between Indore and Chandigarh

Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, Minister of Civil Aviation, and MoS, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Gen. Dr. Vijay Kumar Singh (Rtd. ), launched direct flights between Indore and Chandigarh on November 1, 2022.

This new route’s operation will improve regional connectivity and promote trade, commerce, and tourism between these cities. The flights will operate three days a week, according to the schedule below:

In his speech, Scindia congratulated the residents of both cities and expressed his delight at the opening of a new route for Madhya Pradesh’s economic capital on the occasion of the State’s Foundation Day. Furthermore, the Minister assured that the Union Government is making significant efforts to increase international flight operations at Chandigarh International Airport. Gen. Dr. Vijay Kumar Singh (Rtd.) expressed confidence that it would provide convenient and comfortable travel options, as well as boost trade and commerce activities.

The inauguration was graced by Kailash Vijayvargaya (via video message), Tulsiram Silawat, Minister for Water Resources, Govt. of Madhya Pradesh, Anmol Gagan Mann, Minister of Tourism and Culture Affairs, Govt. of Punjab, Shankar Lalwani, Member of Parliament (LS), Mahendra Hardia, MLA, Malini Gaur, MLA, and Pushyamitra Bhargav, Mayor of Indore, Gaurav Ranadive, BJP City President. Additionally, Rajiv Bansal, Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation, R.K. Singh, Principal Advisor, IndiGo, and other dignitaries from MoCA, AAI, IndiGo, and local administration from Indore and Chandigarh were also present.
