IAG Cargo has received approval to operate its “Constant Climate” facility at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG). This station is designed to handle time and temperature-sensitive healthcare products, including pharmaceuticals requiring meticulous time and temperature management during transportation between Cincinnati and London Heathrow Airport.
The newly approved station will leverage IAG Cargo’s extensive global network, which spans six continents, to facilitate the transport of critical cargo such as vaccines, medicinal drugs, and clinical trial medications worldwide. This service is expected to be particularly valuable for pharmaceutical customers in Ireland and India, as it provides a route for their medicines to reach the United States through London Heathrow.
With the addition of the Cincinnati station, IAG Cargo now boasts a total of 21 approved Constant Climate stations in the United States. This expansion comes as the demand for cold chain solutions continues to rise. During the first half of 2023, IAG Cargo reported a 45 percent increase in the volume of pharmaceuticals transported across its network compared to the previous year.
