HMM, a leading global shipping company, has announced the launch of its new India-North Europe Service (INX) during a trade event held in Mumbai on January 17, 2025. The service is set to commence operations on February 14, 2025, offering direct connectivity between key Indian ports and major North European destinations, enhancing trade opportunities and supply chain efficiency.
The Mumbai event was attended by several senior HMM officials, including:
- Jeremy Choi, Senior Vice President, Container Strategy and Marketing Division, Korea Headquarters.
- MJ Jo, Managing Director, HMM Regional HQ in Dubai.
- DJ Jeong, Managing Director, HMM India.

The event also saw participation from a diverse group of trade representatives and stakeholders.
The INX (India North Europe Express) service is designed to provide best-in-class transit times, wider market coverage, and seamless solutions for various cargo types, including DG (Dangerous Goods), Reefer, OOG (Out of Gauge), and Break Bulk shipments. Key highlights of the service include:
- Direct Ports of Loading (POL): Nhava Sheva, Hazira, Mundra.
- Direct Ports of Discharge (POD): London Gateway, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Antwerp.
- Transshipment via Colombo: Kattupalli, Cochin, Tuticorin, Vizag, and Kolkata.
- Commencement Date: February 14, 2025, with the first sailing by MV Hyundai Tokyo Voy 0156W from Nhava Sheva.
- Wide Coverage: North Continent, UK, Scandinavia, and Baltic destinations.
- Service Type: Jointly operated with ONE.
HMM highlighted that the INX service was developed based on customer feedback and market demand. The Mumbai gathering saw enthusiastic participation from approximately 1,000 customers, reaffirming HMM’s position as a trusted partner in the shipping industry.
