Flyjac Logistics opens its second multi-purpose logistics centre in Taloja, Mumbai, investing in automation for efficiency.
Flyjac Logistics, a subsidiary of LOGISTEED Japan, took a significant step towards enhancing efficiency and sustainability in the logistics sector with the inauguration of its second Multi-Purpose Logistics Centre (MPLC) in Taloja, Navi Mumbai, on March 7, 2024. Following the success of its first MPLC in Chennai in November 2022, Flyjac invested Rs 300 crore in establishing this new facility. Currently managing over 100 warehouses, totaling more than 70 lakh square feet of warehouse space, the company’s expansion aligns with its strategy to establish multi-purpose logistics centres across major Indian cities, with an anticipated total investment exceeding Rs 700 crores.
Spanning 5 lakh square feet across 22 acres of land, the Navi Mumbai MPLC integrates advanced automation technologies such as auto truck unloading and automatic battery-operated pallet trolleys to streamline logistics operations. Flyjac emphasised the scalability of the MPLC’s infrastructure to accommodate future warehousing, trucking, and technological demands, as highlighted in a recent press release. Additionally, the facility boasts an AI-based control tower, enhancing operational control and ensuring swift and efficient execution of warehouse tasks.
The inauguration of the Taloja MPLC underscores Flyjac Logistics’ commitment to leveraging cutting-edge technologies and strategic investments to drive efficiency and sustainability in India’s logistics landscape.
