Gurgaon-based logistics and supply chain company, Delhivery, announced their plans of acquiring the Pune-based tech firm Algorythm, on December 20. It is a deal worth Rs. 14.9 crore and is a part of their ongoing efforts to enhance their integrated supply chain solutions. Owing to the same in the recent past, they acquired Bangalore-based Spoton Logistics in August and California-based Transition Robotics in December 2021. The company hinted towards an all-cash deal that is expected to be completed by January 2023.
From express parcel transportation to cross-border freight, from supply chain solutions to technology services, Delhivery is known to excel at providing a host of end-to-end logistics services. Serving over 18,400 pin codes in the country and catering to over 28,000 customers, it has grown exponentially since its inception in 2011.
When asked about this acquisition, Sandeep Kumar Barasia, the chief business officer of Delhivery, said, “Algorhythm Tech’s supply chain management (SCM) software products will enhance our Supply Chain Solutions offering with value-added services and also drive cost optimization in service delivery. These SCM products are increasingly becoming vital for supply chain planning and optimization. Our clients will have the option of availing these benefits as part of our Integrated Solutions Platform.”
