Logistics service provider DB Schenker and automotive giant Ford joined forces to establish a state-of-the-art 42,000 sqm Parts Distribution Center (PDC) in Dubai. This partnership signifies a leap forward in automotive logistics, emphasising efficiency, sustainability, and seamless supply chain solutions.
The groundbreaking ceremony at Dubai Logistics District, part of Dubai World Central (DWC), marked a significant milestone, with operations slated to commence in January 2025. Ako Djaf, VP of Contract Logistics and SCM at DB Schenker, and Ravi Ravichandran, President of Ford Middle East, led the ceremony alongside executives from Dubai South Free Zone Authority and Atlantic Warehouse DWC.
Djaf expressed excitement about the venture, highlighting the commitment to innovation and excellence in the automotive supply chain. The cutting-edge PDC aims to set new standards in efficiency and environmental responsibility through technology and sustainable practices.
Ravichandran emphasised the PDC’s role in enhancing customer service, supporting growth, and showcasing Ford’s commitment to the UAE and the wider region.
