Varanasi will host a 150-acre logistics park, linking road, rail, air, and waterways to boost trade and job creation.

Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, is set to emerge as a vital logistics hub with the establishment of a 150-acre Multi-Modal Logistics Park (MMLP). Designed to integrate road, rail, air, and waterways, the project aims to streamline transportation, lower logistics costs, and drive economic growth in eastern India.
Strategically located just 1.5 km from the NH7-NH2 junction, the MMLP will connect to National Highway 7 through a 650-meter access road. Rail connectivity will be enhanced by a 5.1 km link to Jeonathpur Station, facilitating integration with the Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor. The park is also situated near National Waterway-1 and just 30 km from Lal Bahadur Shastri Airport, ensuring seamless multimodal access.
The MMLP is expected to significantly reduce logistics costs, currently around 20% of product prices, by streamlining transport across sectors like agriculture, textiles, pharmaceuticals, and handicrafts. The project will create substantial employment opportunities and support regional development.
This initiative aligns with the government’s vision of building sustainable cities by promoting infrastructure that supports economic growth and job creation through modern logistics.
