The Air Cargo Agents Association of India (ACAAI) held its Annual General Meeting on 3 September at Aurika Hotel, Andheri East, Mumbai, followed by a meeting of the Managing Committee
Members reviewed the Association’s activities over the year and discussed developments affecting India’s air cargo and freight forwarding industry, including trade facilitation, regulatory changes, operational challenges and infrastructure needs. The AGM also set out ACAAI’s priorities for the year ahead.
The Managing Committee subsequently confirmed the office-bearers for the new term, with the existing leadership continuing largely unchanged. Rajen Bhatia was elected Honorary Secretary, joining President Samir J. Shah, Vice President Vikram Kumar and Honorary Treasurer Dinesh Krishnan.
The continuity in leadership, the Association said, reflects its focus on stability in dealing with members, government authorities, Customs, airlines, airport operators and other stakeholders across the sector.
Established in 1970, ACAAI represents over 600 members across its regional offices and continues to focus on trade facilitation, policy advocacy and professional development for India’s air cargo industry.
