Airbus has designated Indamer Technics in Nagpur as an authorised facility for the repair, storage and exchange of radomes for the A320, A330, A350 and A380 aircraft families across South Asia.
Airbus has selected Indamer Technics to establish South Asia’s first comprehensive radome repair facility in Nagpur, Maharashtra, under a service agreement designating Indamer Technics as an authorised facility for the repair, storage and exchange of radomes for the Airbus A320, A330, A350 and A380 aircraft families. The facility will provide full structural inspections and testing, complete paint-stripping, repainting and curing processes, major and minor repairs, advanced non-destructive testing and certification for Release to Service. Indamer Technics is a wholly owned subsidiary of Horizon Aero Solutions Limited, a 50-50 venture between Adani Defence and Aerospace and Prime Aero, and is one of India’s leading maintenance, repair and overhaul operators. The Nagpur facility will also serve as a central hub for radome management including end-of-life handling and secure disposal.
Jürgen Westermeier, President and Managing Director of Airbus in India and South Asia, said the agreement was a major milestone in building a robust, localised aerospace ecosystem in India, supporting the Make in India mission and fostering greater self-reliance in the country’s aviation MRO sector, while ensuring significantly reduced turnaround times for customers as the region prepared for unprecedented fleet expansion. Prajay Patel, Director of Indamer Technics, said the selection by Airbus was a strong endorsement of Indamer Technics’ quality and engineering capabilities, and that the agreement marked an important step in establishing India as a self-reliant, world-class hub for aerospace MRO.
