Bundelkhand’s transformation accelerates with a mega-industrial corridor plan surpassing Noida-Greater Noida.
The Yogi Adityanath-led government in Uttar Pradesh has announced plans for a massive industrial corridor in Bundelkhand, envisioned to outscale Noida-Greater Noida. The Bundelkhand Industrial Development Authority (BIDA) will oversee the project, which spans 36,000 acres between Kanpur and Jhansi, encompassing 33 villages from Jhansi district.
Aimed at fostering growth and employment, the corridor will connect Bundelkhand Expressway with Chitrakoot via a link expressway. During his recent Chitrakoot visit, CM Yogi sanctioned ₹13 billion to expedite the initiative. This investment is expected to generate significant job opportunities for both local and migrant youth, reshaping the region’s socio-economic landscape.
Bundelkhand is also being developed as a hub for solar energy and defense manufacturing. These efforts align with the government’s broader strategy to replicate Purvanchal’s development model, including Gorakhpur’s industrial progress and investor-friendly initiatives.
