India and Italy set to hold bilateral defence talks in New Delhi on April 30, 2026.

Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh will hold bilateral talks with Italian Minister of Defence Guido Crosetto in New Delhi on April 30, 2026.
The two ministers are expected to discuss defence cooperation between the two countries as well as exchange views on regional and global security issues in the context of the evolving security landscape. The meeting marks Crosetto’s maiden visit to India and reflects both nations’ intent to expand existing cooperation and explore new areas of collaboration, particularly in the industrial partnership domain.
Defence ties between India and Italy gained further momentum following Rajnath Singh’s visit to Rome in October 2023. The signing of the India-EU Security and Defence Partnership in January 2026 has provided additional impetus to defence industrial cooperation in areas of mutual interest, signalling increasing strategic convergence between the two sides.
