Pradhaan Air Express performed its first commercial flight on the Delhi-Bombay-Delhi route earlier this week.
According to a LinkedIn post, “it was a key milestone in the journey of India’s youngest cargo airline as well as the world’s first A320-P2F.”
According to the post, “they are sure of playing a role in the government’s objective of boosting air freight to 10 million tonnes.”
The aircraft will provide charter capacity to Indian shippers and freight forwarders on domestic and international routes, as well as cargo charter on demand.
The aeroplane has a payload capacity of 21 tonnes and a completely palletized main deck. Elbe Flugzeugwerke (EFW), a joint venture of ST Engineering and Airbus, completed the Airbus conversion at its Singapore plant. The plane was leased from Vaayu Group/Astral Aviation.
