Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India unveils two new Centres of Excellence, enhancing its sustainability initiatives in Hyderabad and New Delhi.
On September 3, 2024, Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India (MBRDI) unveiled the expansion of its Sustainability Garage, a strategic initiative designed to foster sustainability and innovation. The newly added Centres of Excellence in Hyderabad and New Delhi will drive forward the goals of the Sustainability Garage by supporting groundbreaking climate and mobility innovations.
The Climate Tech Incubator will support 25 social enterprises focusing on sustainable mobility and environmental solutions, offering seed funding and deep-tech mentorship. Additionally, a partnership with T-Hub will involve over 500 students in developing innovative climate tech solutions.
The Charging Infrastructure Centre, in collaboration with The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), will train 60 professionals this year in maintenance and infrastructure development.
The announcement was made at the Mercedes-Benz Sustainability Dialogue India 2024, attended by key figures and stakeholders discussing future sustainability trends and innovations.
