The Danish shipping giant Maersk’s subsidiary, APM Terminals, plans to double its current capacity at the Rotterdam Port. APM is among the largest operators at the Port and currently runs a kilometre-long quay in Rotterdam. The quay handles loading and discharging for the biggest class of deep-sea container ships.
