LogiTHON, a groundbreaking hackathon launched by Softlink Global in collaboration with leading engineering colleges in Maharashtra, aims to revolutionise the logistics sector through technology.
Softlink Global and prominent engineering colleges in Maharashtra have joined forces to introduce LogiTHON, a pioneering hackathon designed to reshape the logistics industry through technological advancements. Recognising logistics as the backbone of global commerce and technology as its enabling force, LogiTHON seeks to usher logistics operations into a new era of efficiency and innovation with the aid of artificial intelligence (AI).
Amit Maheshwari, CEO of Softlink Global, emphasised the significance of LogiTHON as an initiative to highlight the critical role of logistics in driving the economy. He stated, “LogiTHON goes beyond mere technological breakthroughs; it aims to shed light on the pivotal role logistics plays in fueling our economy. This event is an opportunity to inspire innovation and educate future engineers about the vast potential of the logistics sector, which is constantly evolving.
The hackathon challenges participants to address four key obstacles faced by the logistics industry. These challenges include Revolutionising Warehouses with AI and Robotics, Blockchain for Secure International Supply Chains, Optimising Routes in Real-Time, and Self-Learning AI for Data Conversion. These challenges aim to stimulate innovative solutions that enhance efficiency, security, and sustainability in logistics operations.
Faisal Khan, Director of Datta Meghe College of Engineering, expressed the institution’s commitment to providing students with opportunities for innovation and professional growth. He stated, “Partnering with Softlink Global for LogiTHON underscores our dedication to bridging the gap between academia and industry needs. This initiative not only exposes students to the logistics sector but also empowers them to tackle real-world challenges, ensuring they are well-equipped for both technological and logistical careers.”
Scheduled to occur on April 19th and 20th, 2024, at Datta Meghe College of Engineering in Mumbai, LogiTHON signifies a significant step towards fostering collaboration between logistics technology companies and academic institutions. This collaboration aims to drive sustainable and efficient advancements in the logistics sector, paving the way for a brighter future.
