IndiGo to operate charters under Operation Kaveri to rescue Indians from Sudan

Amidst the clashes in Sudan, IndiGo on Wednesday said it has offered to operate charter planes to Jeddah to assist with the Indian government’s Operation Kaveri to rescue Indians from the country. To date, 534 Indians have been rescued and evacuated from Sudan. Under Operation Kaveri, India is taking evacuated nationals from Sudan to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia and bringing them home.

However, the airline is awaiting details from the Ministry of Civil Aviation to operate the charter flights.
