Indian Register of Shipping (IRS) appoints Rabindra Sah as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead its digitalization efforts.
Indian Register of Shipping (IRS) has announced the appointment of Rabindra Sah as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). With over 30 years of experience in engineering services and digital technologies, Sah brings a wealth of expertise to his new role. Previously serving as Chief Engineer – Strategic Projects, Global Practices at Tata Technologies and Tata Motors, Sah is poised to accelerate IRS’s digitalization initiatives.
In his new capacity, Sah will drive IRS’s digitalization agenda, focusing on the development and implementation of cutting-edge technologies to revolutionise the maritime industry. His responsibilities include identifying opportunities for digital innovation and ensuring IRS remains at the forefront of technological advancements.
Expressing his confidence in Sah’s capabilities, Arun Sharma, Executive Chairman of IRS, stated, “We are pleased to welcome Sah to the IRS family. His track record in driving digital transformation aligns with our vision to enhance safety, efficiency, and sustainability in the maritime sector.”
Sah holds a B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology – Patna, an M. Tech in Data Science & Engineering from BITS Pilani, and is currently pursuing his PhD in Autonomous Vehicles from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham – Bangalore.
