Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala has announced measures to combat traffic congestion on the Delhi-Mathura National Highway in Faridabad. The proposal involves constructing underpasses at two critical intersections to mitigate traffic bottlenecks and improve the commuting experience. Chautala made this declaration during the monsoon session of the state assembly in response to a legislator’s query.
Chautala highlighted the state government’s intention to collaborate with the Central government to assess the feasibility of the underpass construction at the designated sites. To initiate this process, a formal written request will be forwarded to the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for a comprehensive project report. These underpasses are anticipated to have a positive impact on traffic management in older sectors of Faridabad and the Palwal area.
