Nitin Gadkari, the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, commenced three National Highway (NH) projects in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. The combined length of these projects is 87 kilometers, with a total cost of Rs 2,900 Crore. The first project, NH-71’s Naidupate-Turpu Kanupur section, covers 35 km and requires an investment of Rs 1,399 Crore.
The second project is the Chillakuru Cross-Krishnapatnam Port South Gate section via Turpu Kanupur on NH-516W, spanning 36 km and valued at Rs 909 Crore. Lastly, the Thamminapatnam-Narikellapalle Section extends the Dedicated Port Road from Eupuru to Krishnapatnam Port on NH-516W and NH-67, covering 16 km with a project value of Rs 610 Crore. These projects aim to enhance connectivity to Krishnapatnam Port, improve accessibility to key nodes, boost tourism, and create employment opportunities.
