APSEZ to develop and operate Berth No. 13 at Deendayal Port under a 30-year concession.
Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ) announced receiving a letter of intent (LoI) for the development, operation, and maintenance of Berth No. 13 at Deendayal Port. The LoI, awarded through a competitive bidding process, grants APSEZ a 30-year concession period.
The company will operate the berth under a DBFOT (design, build, finance, operate, and transfer) model for multipurpose clean cargo, including container cargo. Berth No. 13, measuring 300 meters in length, offers an annual capacity of 5.7 MMT and is expected to be commissioned during FY2026-27.
APSEZ stated that the concession agreement must be signed within 30 days of the LoI issuance by the Deendayal Port Authority. Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone specialises in the development, operations, and maintenance of port infrastructure, with linked multi-product Special Economic Zones (SEZ) and related infrastructure contiguous to the port at Mundra.
In financial performance, APSEZ reported a 76.2 percent surge in consolidated net profit, reaching ₹2,039.66 crore in Q4 FY24, compared to ₹1,157.55 crore in the same period the previous year. Revenue from operations increased by 18.97 percent, totaling ₹6,896.50 crore in Q4 FY24, up from ₹5,796.85 crore in Q4 FY23.
