Adani Gangavaram Port inaugurates a modern Railway Crew Lobby to enhance cargo handling and operational efficiency.
Adani Gangavaram Port inaugurated a state-of-the-art Railway Crew Lobby at its R&D yard on December 24, 2024. The facility, featuring a modern Crew Management System (CMS), was launched by Manoj Kumar Sahoo, DRM, Waltair Division, East Coast Railway, alongside the port’s CEO and senior officials.
The new facility includes a Crew Controller Office and restrooms with amenities for male and female railway staff. This initiative is designed to improve cargo handling, storage, and dispatch operations by allowing railway crews to directly operate loaded trains from the port’s Receipt and Dispatch yard.
The management emphasised its commitment to operational excellence, safety, and crew welfare. This investment enhances efficiency, reduces delays, and reinforces the port’s role in advancing India’s logistics sector. The facility marks a significant step toward ensuring seamless cargo movement and improved working conditions for railway staff.
