The Air Cargo Agents Association of India Northern Region organised a familiarisation visit to Noida International Airport for a delegation of over 80 members, offering first-hand exposure to the cargo terminal’s infrastructure, operational readiness, and long-term potential.

The airport’s cargo terminal is designed with an initial annual handling capacity of 2.5 lakh metric tonnes, with long-term expansion plans targeting 18 lakh metric tonnes. Its location along the Yamuna Expressway, with connectivity to Delhi NCR, western Uttar Pradesh, and the Dedicated Freight Corridor network, gives it a logistical catchment area that few airports in India can match.
For ACAAI members, the visit was as much about preparing for opportunity as it was about understanding infrastructure. Freight forwarders, cargo agents, and logistics operators from across the northern region were able to assess the terminal firsthand and begin planning for how their operations might evolve as the airport moves toward full commercial readiness.
Vinet K. Chadha, Chairman, Northern Region, ACAAI, said the visit was a truly forward-looking experience. He noted that seeing infrastructure of this scale and vision makes clear what the future of air cargo in India looks like, adding that the development is set to redefine cargo movement not just for the region but for the country at large.
The initiative is in keeping with ACAAI’s broader agenda of providing members with industry exposure and practical insight into the infrastructure shaping the next decade of Indian air freight.
