GreenLine to deploy 10,000 green trucks with $275M backing, including $20M from Nikhil Kamath.

In a major stride toward green logistics, GreenLine Mobility Solutions has announced a $275 million investment to decarbonise India’s heavy trucking sector, backed by $20 million from entrepreneur Nikhil Kamath. This transformative move will see the rollout of over 10,000 LNG and electric trucks, along with 100 LNG refuelling and EV charging stations nationwide.
As India’s only operator of LNG and EV commercial trucks, GreenLine aims to slash carbon emissions by 1 million tonnes annually. The company’s current fleet of 650 LNG trucks, serving sectors like FMCG, e-commerce, cement, and oil & gas, has already logged 38 million km, cutting 10,000 tonnes of CO₂.
With LNG trucks reducing emissions by up to 30% and running at costs comparable to diesel, GreenLine offers a green yet affordable solution for businesses.
Essar Director Anshuman Ruia called it a “chance to build a green mobility ecosystem,” while CEO Anand Mimani urged India Inc. to champion the shift. Investor Nikhil Kamath said, “Green mobility isn’t a trend—it’s the future.”
