Air India has unveiled a state-of-the-art mega warehouse facility in Delhi, dedicated to storing over one million engineering spares crucial for aircraft maintenance, inspections, and repairs, along with ground support equipment. This strategic move is poised to bolster the airline’s fleet and operational efficiency, contributing to the growth of India’s expanding aviation ecosystem.
Situated in close proximity to Terminal 3 within the Air Cargo Logistics division of Delhi Airport’s Cargo complex, the centralised warehouse spans approximately 54,000 sq. ft. Its primary objective is to expedite the turnaround of Air India’s flights departing from Delhi.
The warehouse will serve as a centralised hub, integrating 16 scattered locations in Delhi and Mumbai into a consolidated facility. It will cater to the engineering resource needs of Air India, Air India Express, and AIX Connect fleets, acting as a hub and feeder network for operations across India.
