The Minister of Commerce for the United Arab Emirates, Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, was on a recent visit to attend the Partnership Summit 2023 organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). He also went to the Hind Terminals Logistics Park in Palwal, Haryana.
Hind Terminals is UAE-based Sharaf Group’s Indian subsidiary known for providing end-to-end logistics solutions. It has invested in many states, including Haryana, Gujarat, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, and Maharashtra. Its facility in Palwa, Haryana, is known to be one of the largest logistics parks in India. Spread over 5 million square feet, the facility houses a 65,000 square metres wide container yard, 9,000 square metres of warehouses, 6,500 square metres of general warehouses, 65,000 square metres of iron stores, 9,360 square metres of chiller facilities, 28 car trailers, and train stations.
Among UAE’s biggest projects, the Palwal Logistics Park has supported India-UAE relations after the two countries signed the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) in February 2022. The Sharaf Group has invested in many sectors in India, like logistics, shipping, supply and supply services, travel and tourism, retail, financial services, education, hospitality and real estate, and manufacturing.
