TVS Supply Chain Solutions announces a significant warehousing expansion in Hosur, adding jobs and capacity.
TVS Supply Chain Solutions (TVS SCS) is set to bolster its logistics and supply chain operations in India with the addition of a new, state-of-the-art warehousing facility in Hosur. This expansion sees an impressive 6,50,000 square feet added to its warehousing capacity, marking a significant step forward for the company’s infrastructure capabilities in the country. With this latest development, TVS SCS’s total warehouse space in India now stands at 21.85 million square feet, up from 21.2 million, demonstrating the company’s commitment to supporting its customers’ growth trajectories.
This strategic move is not just about expanding physical space; it’s aimed at enhancing the efficiency and reach of TVS SCS’s supply chain solutions across global markets. The newly inaugurated Global Parts Distribution Centre at this facility is expected to play a pivotal role in this ambition, serving as a crucial hub for the company’s worldwide operations.
“The addition of this ultra-modern multi-client warehouse space is a testament to our dedication to meet the evolving needs of our customers and to support their growth in the best possible way,” said K.N. Radhakrishnan, CEO of TVS Motor Company, during the inauguration. He highlighted the strategic placement of the new facility and its expected contribution to the company’s global supply chain effectiveness.
This expansion is also a boon for employment in the region, creating approximately 1,200 new jobs and demonstrating TVS SCS’s role as a key player in the economic development of the areas where it operates. Globally, TVS SCS manages over 300 warehouses across five continents, encompassing more than 27 million square feet of space, underscoring its position as a global leader in supply chain management and logistics solutions.
