A contract between France and India to assist International Transport Forum (ITF) activities in the Indian transportation industry was authorised by the Union Cabinet, which is presided over by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Wednesday.
The International Transport Forum (ITF) efforts on the Indian transport sector were to be supported by a contract signed by the Technology Information, Forecasting and Assessment Council (TIFAC), India, and the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development, France, according to a statement from the Union Cabinet, which is presided over by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The contract was signed on July 6, according to the official release, this year.
By increasing scientific engagement and identifying technological possibilities, the actions to be carried out under this contract will produce new scientific findings, new policy insights, capacity building, and decarbonization of India’s transportation sector.
