PSA Mumbai Phase 2 is set to double capacity, enhance sustainability, and revolutionise India’s logistics connectivity.
PSA Mumbai Phase 2, located at JN Port, is rapidly advancing toward operational readiness, transforming India’s container logistics landscape. According to PSA India’s Executive Director Andy Lane, the terminal is poised to double its handling capacity to an impressive 4.8 million TEUs annually, securing its position as the nation’s largest container terminal.
With 40% of the 1,000-meter wharf completed, the project is on track for timely delivery. The facility is also committed to sustainability, integrating green concrete and electric RTGs to cut carbon emissions by 69,000 tCO2e. Additionally, advanced rail systems compatible with DFC trains will ensure unmatched connectivity for seamless cargo movement across India.
“The future of logistics is here, and it’s happening at PSA Mumbai,” emphasised the communique, reflecting the terminal’s pivotal role in shaping a greener, more efficient logistics sector.
