Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated five new Vande Bharat trains at Rani Kamalapati Railway Station in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. Railway Minister Ashwani Vaishnaw also joined the PM during the event. The newly flagged-off Vande Bharat trains include the Bhopal-Indore, Bhopal-Jabalpur, Ranchi-Patna, Dharwad-Bengaluru, and Goa-Mumbai routes.
The Bhopal-Jabalpur Vande Bharat Express will connect the Mahakaushal region of Jabalpur to the Central region of Bhopal, benefiting local tourism. The Ranchi-Patna Vande Bharat Express marks the first such train for Jharkhand and Bihar, enhancing connectivity between Patna and Ranchi.
Additionally, the Dharwad-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express will link major cities in Karnataka, including Dharwad, Hubballi, Davangere, and Bengaluru, offering benefits to students, tourists, and industrialists. These trains are expected to provide faster travel times compared to existing options. However, due to the possibility of heavy rains, Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Lalpur and Pakaria in Shahdol district was postponed, while his program in Bhopal proceeded as planned.
