YEIDA plans NH-34 connectivity to Noida Airport, enhancing access and boosting regional development.

The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) is working on connecting Noida International Airport in Jewar with National Highway 34 (NH-34). Officials have initiated discussions with the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) regarding potential route alignments and have started preparing a detailed project report (DPR).
Prior to land acquisition for the airport, Jewar was directly connected to Sikandrabad, but this was disrupted when 1,334 hectares were acquired, including a 3km stretch of road. In the interim, an alternative route via Jahangirpur and Jhajhar was established, although it involves a detour through several villages. YEIDA is now considering a link road connecting the airport to NH-34, passing through Khurja, to improve access.
NH-34, which runs from Uttarakhand to Madhya Pradesh, is a key arterial road connecting major cities. The new connection will enhance airport accessibility and foster regional development. Other infrastructure projects, such as a 31km stretch connecting the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway to the airport and a proposed expressway linking the Ganga Expressway, are also in the works. The final route alignment will be determined after the DPR is completed.
