Softlink Global and a prestigious engineering college in Maharashtra join forces to launch LogiTHON.
Softlink Global, in partnership with a renowned engineering college in Maharashtra, has introduced LogiTHON, a pioneering logistics hackathon aimed at revolutionising the industry. The event seeks to propel the logistics sector into a realm of innovation and efficiency by leveraging cutting-edge technology.
Amit Maheshwari, CEO of Softlink Global, highlights the significance of LogiTHON in shaping the future of the logistics sector, a crucial component of both the Indian and global economies. He envisions a future where student-driven innovation fosters a dynamic and technologically advanced logistics ecosystem. Maheshwari emphasises LogiTHON’s role as a catalyst for this transformation, providing a platform for top teams to showcase solutions that will influence the industry’s trajectory.
With an overwhelming response of over 1500 registrations, LogiTHON has selected 57 exceptional teams to compete in the final round scheduled for April 19th & 20th. Participants will address pressing issues such as Intelligent Warehouse Management Systems, route optimization for global trade, and AI-driven data conversion and analysis.
In the wake of post-pandemic recovery, the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) has identified logistics as a pivotal sector for job creation in India. With the exponential growth of e-commerce and the nation’s emphasis on manufacturing, the demand for skilled professionals in logistics has surged. LogiTHON aims to bridge this gap by engaging engineering students in tackling real-world challenges confronting the industry.
Maheshwari emphasises that beyond the competition, LogiTHON will cultivate a culture of innovation among students, empowering them to become pioneers in the logistics sector. By nurturing talent and fostering entrepreneurship, LogiTHON is poised to drive economic growth and dynamism in India and beyond.
